Sam offers limited boarding services to our clients or other happy breeds that love to go for easy country walks.

We are near Napanee, Kingston, Belleville but have clients from Ottawa and Toronto, out west and along the eastern coast of our beautiful country who trust Sam with their beloved 4 footed family members.  Contact Sam for availability and prices.

All of our dogs are professionally trained by Sam for obedience or conformation events as well as gently instilling manners in family pets.  She works well with horses also, placing in western horsemanship events at our local shows.

Our lines come from show and obedience working dogs with strong hunting/retrieving instincts. They have the quality lineage that enable them to make excellent easy to train companion dogs fit for any caring family.

Breed History/Philosophy

We purchased our first Labrador in 1992. The puppy we took home was to be a companion for us and our two children. Mocha drew us into the world of dog shows, hunting and breeding. Because of her we bought a new station wagon, I got my hunting licence, we joined 2 all-breed dog clubs and 3 Labrador Retriever Clubs, volunteered as gunners for the hunting WC tests and show our dogs at Championship Conformation Shows and Obedience Trials. Talk about influencing your life. We are proud members of CKC and EOLBA.

We want our dogs to be multi-purpose. Our concern is to maintain the loveable, willing-to-please, out-going nature combined with the beauty and conformation of the Labrador according to our Canadian show standard.  The fact that they retain their drive to hunt and retrieve as well as be able to bring home show and obedience titles all adds the icing to the cake.

Sam is working with Cassy who is a very green and frightened 6 year old mare - she has made astonishing progress - the owner is truly amazed at how far she has come.  Cassy has now progressed to the saddle English/Western...showing how much she trusts Sam's gentle guidance. Sam is also working with Rhonda's boy Beau who has suddenly made a vast change in attitude brought about through confident natural horsemanship methods.  We look forward to Sam bringing both horses to the Napanee Horse Club shows in a few short years.

Samantha and her horses

Samantha and Logan did very well at the horse show at the Kingston Exhibition in September in 2009.  We were very proud of how the two of them did on such short notice...Sam is working with Penny and Logan and did very well at the shows last year (2010).  She is working with her appy palomino stallion for the 2011 western pleasure shows.  So far Sam  has placed first in the Napanee Horse Club July shows with Penny.  More to come!

Sterling is available for a limited number of approved mares this season.  You may contact her at samadams@kos.net.   $500 / $400 grade mares

We are expecting babies from Sterling in spring 2012.  Our beautiful rabicano appaloosa/QH Penny and Sam's girl Contessa have been bred. I can hardly wait!  Both foals will be available for sale.  Contact Sam for further info.

Sterling and Sam May 19, 2011.  His attitude is amazing for a stud...we just used him for the 4 - H horse Club training seminar...he loves the attention.

We do not use gimmicks or drugs. We train using natural horsemanship and encouragement.  We work with them using calm, repetitive programs that help them to feel at home no matter where they might be.  Sam has worked wonders with horses that need only someone that listens to them.  She has a natural sense of balance and most of our horses can be ridden using only the halter and lead - even bareback.

Sam is 5'5" to give you an idea of the size of Peaches.  She is around 12.1 hands if that.
